I began teaching Spanish at age 18 in the language lab at my university, though I had already been helping many international peers in my high school with their English for several years prior. After my time teaching in Peru, I qualified as as a K-12 teacher in British Columbia, Canada in 2015-16. I trained at UBC-Vancouver in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP) cohort and completed my regular practicums in Secondary French and Spanish in metro Vancouver, while my community-based practicum was at Zeballos K-12 School on northwestern Vancouver Island (where I co-taught English Language Arts, math and art).
I have been tutoring privately in French, Spanish, English as an Additional Language and the social sciences (social studies, history, geography) since 2016. I work with individuals, pairs and groups, both in-person and online. I also have experience as a live interpreter (Spanish-English). I have over 4 years’ experience teaching beginner-intermediate violin (to individuals and groups). Please contact me via LinkedIn if you wish to discuss my services.
Find my Teachers Pay Teachers page here for music-based language teaching and learning resources for Spanish/French/EAL classes. As of 2025, I am adding a growing number of Comprehensible Input (CI) / Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) resources.
